Barton-Knott Travel has had a long-standing relationship with the professional rugby union clubs in the UK providing bespoke travel arrangements for the majority of English Clubs as well as a number of Clubs in Wales. Our primary work is with the European Champions and Challenge Cup tournaments where we have a very clear understanding of the needs and requirements of a team on the road. During our history we have covered 3 Finals and numerous quarter and semi finals plus of course all of the pool rounds.
We have direct computer access to all airline schedules be they full service or low cost and we use the lowest available group fares with generous ticketing time limits. Block seating and free personal baggage allowance come as standard within most of our group fares.
Choosing the right hotel as a base has always been of prime importance and over the seasons we have built an enviable knowledge of the European venues whilst keeping a close eye on drive times airport to hotel and hotel to stadium whilst providing accommodation of a fitting standard in a location which allows for some down-time.
Our bus transport is always of a Deluxe GT standard and for longer journeys we make sure the bus has suitable toilet facilities.
One final benefit to Clubs is that we provide a member of staff, a Travel Manager, to travel with the Team, wherever possible a linguist. The Travel Manager is there to meet the Team on arrival at the airport of departure and stay with the Team group throughout the trip liaising with airline, bus company and hotel during the stay.
